The Devil Inside shocks audiences of all ages

January 17, 2012

STRONGSVILLE, OH – The buzz all week has been about the new terrorizing film The Devil Inside, which combines the look of a documentary film with the feel of a traditional scary, heart beating, fist clenching movie.

In the film, Isabella Rossi, daughter of Maria Rossi, experiences a unique tragedy. In 1989, her mother Maria murders three people in her home while an exorcism is performed on her. She is found not guilty due to insanity and sent to a mental hospital in Rome, right in the heart of the Vatican. Isabella becomes concerned with her mother’s behavior and travels to Rome with her friend Michael to document her experiences with her mother. During her time there, she meets Ben and David, a pair of priests willing to take a second look at her mother’s strange behaviors.

“I personally thought the movie itself was bad quality, and the ending was terrible, but the events that took place throughout the film really scared me,” states senior Ian Martin. The acting was of poor quality, and the ending made audience in the theater groan with disappointment.

Every audience member will have a different opinion on how the movie affected them, but personally, I was scared. The actress who played Maria Rossi was evil looking and acted completely insane. Her face will forever be stuck in my mind. The end of the movie left audience members with a website, www.therossifiles.com if they wanted to find out more information about the “true events” film was based upon.

Although I personally did not appreciate the quality of the film, the events that were portrayed scared and shocked the audience within the theater. If you are looking for a movie that will freak you out from beginning to end, then The Devil Inside is the movie for you.
